How Our Shrub Care Program Works

Many ornamental plants commonly found in South Florida landscapes are vulnerable to insects and fungal conditions. Plants such as Ixora and Hibiscus may be affected by piercing-sucking insects including aphids, mealybugs, scale, spider mites, and whiteflies. Beetles, caterpillars, and other chewing insects can also damage foliage.

Petri provides regularly scheduled shrub and ornamental treatments based on the conditions found on your property. When fungal activity is present, appropriate fungicide treatments may also be recommended.

Our shrub care program generally focuses on ornamental plants and smaller trees surrounding the property. Larger trees, including some palms, black olive trees, buttonwoods, and oaks, may require specialized treatment. Petri may provide treatment on a case-by-case basis or recommend an arborist or tree care specialist when appropriate.

Trees and shrubs may also receive fertilization throughout the year based on their condition and nutritional needs. If a covered pest issue appears between regularly scheduled visits, qualifying customers may receive a free retreatment.
